Otaku ramblings FTW!

Well hello there, good reader! It's been a couple months since my last post, and since some interesting things have happened, I decided to write a post!
I, and my friend, are now officially part of a wonderful cosplay group in Oklahoma! Their YouTube channel is awesome, their CMV's are really cool, and their bloopers are downright hilarious. I'm so glad (and honored) to be apart of the group. Look for me in the upcoming CMV's (I might be cosplaying Denmark from Hetalia unless some things get changed)!
And on the note of cosplaying, I'm also doing some other cosplays too! For the people who aren't exactly sure of what cosplaying is, it's a western term for 'costume play', and is basically dressing up like your favorite character from a show/movie/anime, or something along the lines of that. Cosplays can range from a wig and just some simple wear to all-out amazingly awesome cosplays with moving parts, giant props, and lights. I really like cosplay because it not only brings people together, it gets the right kind of attention at cons, and it's super fun to piece your own cosplay together or completely hand-make it. Right now, I'm in the middle of piecing together a France cosplay for VisionCon 2013. I'm also attempting to start looking for things I'll need for my Denmark (maybe someone else later on!) cosplay while also raising more money so I can buy a full-out America cosplay. And later on, after the holidays when things have calmed down and I've got a grip on all my completed cosplays, I'm going to try some harder ones like Alois Trancy from Black Butler II or something. Of course, all of this can happen only if I have sufficient funds and things like that, so it'll all depend!
So for now, I'll leave you all to some REALLY awesome cosplay pictures!

PS- Be watching for a new 'about me' page coming up soon!

(All photos above belong to their rightful owners. Hetalia, Naruto, Black Butler, Bleach, Vocaloid, and Fire Emblem all belong to the creators. And I'm almost absolutely sure McDonald's is trademarked too.)

So Here's the Truth...

Interesting title for a blogpost, no? Well, don't get too excited, I'm not that interesting. Ha.
By the way, I just want to let you know that if this post looks a little weird, it's because this is my first post using the new Blogger dashboard or whatever it's called, so to me, it looks like I'm typing on a piece of paper. Excuse me if I include too many emoticons or ramble.
So, this is going to be one of those dreadfully boring explanation posts that I keep doing, so feel free to skip over this one and head straight to the other posts with all the interesting pictures and such. I'll try not to make this post TOO long though, to spare you guys a little from my inner thoughts :)
Okay, first topic up for discussion... I was reading some of my older posts a little while ago, and was blown away at how different I was... And I thought, if I'm thinking this, then I can't be the only one. In older posts I was actually attempting to be cute and interesting by saying things like "This is so super dreamy!" and "OMG, I'm in love!<3". And everyone who knows me knows that I would never say things like that in a million years. I figured that the point of my blog is to let friendly people (or the occasional troll) get a glimpse of my life through my blog, and I can't even get close to doing that if I'm saying that something is "so totally rad!". I'm going to admit it now, I'm different. I'm not super bouncy, or cheerful, but I'm not 100% dark all the time either. I'm not going to put on a show for my readers if it isn't even the real me doing it. I know professional bloggers try to maintain a bright and cheery atmosphere so people who are having bad days can sort of escape, but I'm not a professional blogger. I didn't sign up to be one, and I know I don't have what it makes to keep up a professional blog. I just wanted to talk to anyone who's interested, whether you live in London or Mozambique. I'm just a girl from America, nothing special.
That being said, I want to keep up a rather interesting blog, for the two or three people who actually come back to read it more than once. I'll admit another thing- I'm one of those people who'll fall head over heels in love with something for 2 weeks to 8 months at a time and gush about nothing but that fad until I finally drop out of it and want nothing to do with it anymore. If I gush too much, I really am sorry. I'm still trying to find that one thing that really fits Me as a person, and right now, I'm just going through an anime faze (or more specifically, Hetalia), hoping that I can finally stay in this one and be a true otaku girl. Haters gonna hate, and I enjoy being different.
So all in all, I'm not a bright little bubble of sunshine. Yeah, I wear black all the time and enjoy dyeing my hair a myriad of colors and over-quote things (5 cats for 5 deutschmarks at Arby's!) and procrastinate at homeschool, but I'm a normal person who just wants to be real with her readers. So I honestly hope you can understand.

PS- I also reread my About Me page, and was unbelievably embarrassed. That's what I get for writing it when I'm in the middle of a Justin Bieber faze. Don't worry, my blog's going to have a completely new look sooner or later!<3

My Day in Pictures

I'm heading to an anime club meeting in a nearby town and I'm freaking out because I'm going alone and I don't know anyone there. So I decided to throw up a blogpost. Wish me luck! ;P
