Otaku ramblings FTW!

Well hello there, good reader! It's been a couple months since my last post, and since some interesting things have happened, I decided to write a post!
I, and my friend, are now officially part of a wonderful cosplay group in Oklahoma! Their YouTube channel is awesome, their CMV's are really cool, and their bloopers are downright hilarious. I'm so glad (and honored) to be apart of the group. Look for me in the upcoming CMV's (I might be cosplaying Denmark from Hetalia unless some things get changed)!
And on the note of cosplaying, I'm also doing some other cosplays too! For the people who aren't exactly sure of what cosplaying is, it's a western term for 'costume play', and is basically dressing up like your favorite character from a show/movie/anime, or something along the lines of that. Cosplays can range from a wig and just some simple wear to all-out amazingly awesome cosplays with moving parts, giant props, and lights. I really like cosplay because it not only brings people together, it gets the right kind of attention at cons, and it's super fun to piece your own cosplay together or completely hand-make it. Right now, I'm in the middle of piecing together a France cosplay for VisionCon 2013. I'm also attempting to start looking for things I'll need for my Denmark (maybe someone else later on!) cosplay while also raising more money so I can buy a full-out America cosplay. And later on, after the holidays when things have calmed down and I've got a grip on all my completed cosplays, I'm going to try some harder ones like Alois Trancy from Black Butler II or something. Of course, all of this can happen only if I have sufficient funds and things like that, so it'll all depend!
So for now, I'll leave you all to some REALLY awesome cosplay pictures!

PS- Be watching for a new 'about me' page coming up soon!

(All photos above belong to their rightful owners. Hetalia, Naruto, Black Butler, Bleach, Vocaloid, and Fire Emblem all belong to the creators. And I'm almost absolutely sure McDonald's is trademarked too.)

So Here's the Truth...

Interesting title for a blogpost, no? Well, don't get too excited, I'm not that interesting. Ha.
By the way, I just want to let you know that if this post looks a little weird, it's because this is my first post using the new Blogger dashboard or whatever it's called, so to me, it looks like I'm typing on a piece of paper. Excuse me if I include too many emoticons or ramble.
So, this is going to be one of those dreadfully boring explanation posts that I keep doing, so feel free to skip over this one and head straight to the other posts with all the interesting pictures and such. I'll try not to make this post TOO long though, to spare you guys a little from my inner thoughts :)
Okay, first topic up for discussion... I was reading some of my older posts a little while ago, and was blown away at how different I was... And I thought, if I'm thinking this, then I can't be the only one. In older posts I was actually attempting to be cute and interesting by saying things like "This is so super dreamy!" and "OMG, I'm in love!<3". And everyone who knows me knows that I would never say things like that in a million years. I figured that the point of my blog is to let friendly people (or the occasional troll) get a glimpse of my life through my blog, and I can't even get close to doing that if I'm saying that something is "so totally rad!". I'm going to admit it now, I'm different. I'm not super bouncy, or cheerful, but I'm not 100% dark all the time either. I'm not going to put on a show for my readers if it isn't even the real me doing it. I know professional bloggers try to maintain a bright and cheery atmosphere so people who are having bad days can sort of escape, but I'm not a professional blogger. I didn't sign up to be one, and I know I don't have what it makes to keep up a professional blog. I just wanted to talk to anyone who's interested, whether you live in London or Mozambique. I'm just a girl from America, nothing special.
That being said, I want to keep up a rather interesting blog, for the two or three people who actually come back to read it more than once. I'll admit another thing- I'm one of those people who'll fall head over heels in love with something for 2 weeks to 8 months at a time and gush about nothing but that fad until I finally drop out of it and want nothing to do with it anymore. If I gush too much, I really am sorry. I'm still trying to find that one thing that really fits Me as a person, and right now, I'm just going through an anime faze (or more specifically, Hetalia), hoping that I can finally stay in this one and be a true otaku girl. Haters gonna hate, and I enjoy being different.
So all in all, I'm not a bright little bubble of sunshine. Yeah, I wear black all the time and enjoy dyeing my hair a myriad of colors and over-quote things (5 cats for 5 deutschmarks at Arby's!) and procrastinate at homeschool, but I'm a normal person who just wants to be real with her readers. So I honestly hope you can understand.

PS- I also reread my About Me page, and was unbelievably embarrassed. That's what I get for writing it when I'm in the middle of a Justin Bieber faze. Don't worry, my blog's going to have a completely new look sooner or later!<3

My Day in Pictures

I'm heading to an anime club meeting in a nearby town and I'm freaking out because I'm going alone and I don't know anyone there. So I decided to throw up a blogpost. Wish me luck! ;P

My Day In Pictures

I promised myself that I wouldn't make another blogpost until I actually found something INTERESTING to say. And, well, this is what I came up with. -PS, the Hetalia America fanart is indeed my own and it will be up for sale in my fanart Etsy shop that will be created in the near future. I made the Canada paperchild. I did not make the Switzerland motivational poster. I wish I had though.-

My Day in Pictures

I went to the fair and won a little Pikachu, then came home and listened to some music and wrote fanfiction for the rest of the day. Pretty exciting, no?

Well now...

So it's 2am where I'm at, and I was thinking. Some places have an unspoken rule of "No shirt, no shoes, no service". There's even a country song about it. But what I want to know, is can you walk into these places wearing no pants? And if so, how long can you dance until the cops are called? That's what I'd like to know.

A little explanation...

(this is going to be a very quick blog) heyyo, everyone! Just decided to throw out a quick blog explaining my weeklong absence ^_^
I've been super busy lately watching Hetalia: Axis Powers with my friends, going to live WWE events, and getting ready for school again (ugh). I've also been out learning new songs for the piano (I'm a professional player), creating new art pieces for my soon-to-be-open Etsy shop, and redesigning my blog. All while getting used to the new house and talking to my BFF Taylor (she's getting a blog soon!). Interesting life, no?
So I'll be posting every few days in between watching the Olympics and thinking of new ideas. By the way, readers in London, what's it like? Are the roads filled with people? Did anyone get tickets for the 2012 Summer Olympics?

The Day in Pictures ;D

(really bad picture of me lol and my shirt's being a creeper)

HelloHello, everyone!

Omg HIIII!!!! I know it's been forever since I've blogged, and I've gotten quite a few comments about my absence, so I decided to throw up another blog, just telling what's going on and what I'm planning for my blog in the future.
So lately, (idk why) I've been like, totally addicted to everything ANIME. I'm completely fascinated with things that involve Japan. Idk if I'm the only one who does this anymore, I can't seem to find ANYONE near me who wants to do this with me, but I've been trying to put together a cosplay. I'm about to buy a Deidara cosplay outfit at CosplayMagic.com (AWESOME place by the way, lots and lots of cosplay things for very cheap prices) and me and my friend Taylor and going to walk around Walmart and see how many weird looks we get. Don't worry, I'll definitely post pictures.
So what have you guys been doing lately? My life's been full of anime, cosplay, Caramelldansen, Hatsune Miku (I hope she performs at the 2012 Olympics!!), Toy-Box, writing Naruto fanfics, and unpacking things. Life sounds interesting, but believe me, it's not. A lot of the time, I'm a little bit bored. There's not a lot of people here to talk to, since I'm still homeschooling and stuff. So, post a comment, and I'll definitely reply :)

Sailor Ramen, dattebayo

I know I haven't been blogging a lot lately, and really, I mean to. I've been so busy wrapping up the school and planning summer things that I've had no time to blog. I've been wanting to get back into it because I'll do things or see things and think "Oh, I could turn that into a blogpost", so from now on, if I think things like that then I'll come and blog about it.
Now, enough of the negative. Here's what I've been doing that's been keeping me from blogging(:

I've been watching WAYYYYYY too much Naruto. It's my favorite show right now. Mandy and I are ordering seasons like crazy, and watching the show every chance we get. For anyone else who's seen it too, leave a comment on your favorite character! I love Gaara and Kankuro(:

Video games are a major must for me this summer too. I've been playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Naruto, and Animal Crossing

(yeah, that's me, the only human in the town rockin' the cotton-candy blue hair)

My birthday is in exactly 2 weeks from today, and I'm really excited to turn 14! Of course, I'm going to be really sad because I'm totally going to miss being 13 (which is my favorite number), but we all live and grow and change, so I'll eventually get used to it... I hope(:

DATTEBAYO!!!! :D

Saturday's Specials!!!

Hellohello!!! I'm super-psyched about debuting my very new blog line, Saturday's Specials! So let's kick it off with a great debut post!!! :D

1) Purple. I love anything purple! It's my favorite color. Not the soft, nice periwinkle purple. Like the "I'm going to destroy you" dark purple(:

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ super dreamy picture!
I love balloons too! I think it'd be awesomazing to have a completely purple birthday party!

2) Video games! I'm a total VG fanatic. If I'm not doing school or writing books, I'm playing video games.
How cool is that??
I love this tattoo! I'm going to get a tattoo soon (yes, I know, tattoos at 13) and I'd love to get a video game tattoo.... It's just that I want to get something that I'm going to love when I'm like, 80. And I'm pretty sure that with a triforce on my hand I'll be the coolest grandma ever.

3) Monster High! I know I've already sort of done a book post about this, but I still think it's really cool.

Draculaura's totally my favorite.

4) GLITTER GLITTER GLITTER! GLITTER ON EVERYTHING! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

5) Speaking of 'BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA', let's not forget one of my favorite super villains, the Riddler!
Batman is my favorite superhero series of all time, and the Riddler's totally my favorite villain. I'm get Riddler converse at Journey's Shoe Store at the mall next Sunday! *eeeeek*

6) And last but definitely NOT least, my favorite band at the moment- One Direction!

They're one of my favorite bands. From their catchy songs to their awesome accents (everyone's British except for Niall, he's Irish) they're totally cool. They were doing UK concerts and stuff, but just last week they landed in the US and are going to be touring with Big Time Rush (ugh WHY DIDN'T I GET TICKETS?!)
Harry's my least favorite (sorry if I offend anyone) and Niall's my favorite.

So this officially concludes my debut Saturday's Specials!! Hope you liked it!(:
xoxo,
  Emiliy<3
